Elegant Richard Nixon Library Wedding
If there ever was an event that proved rain does not ruin a perfect celebration, Cassidy and Nima’s elegant Richard Nixon Library wedding is it.
When these two approached us, they knew they wanted something that was over-the-top elegant, while still feeling classic, romantic, and intimate - and that’s exactly what we brought to this black-tie affair. When we heard there would be rain, we swiftly pivoted to an indoor ceremony in the Library Lobby. (“It is what it is” was the repeated mantra for the weekend!) Playing off the Presidential Seal on the tile floor, we set up a ceremony in the round, showcasing their majestic Sofreh in the center in honor of our groom’s Persian heritage. As a nod to the couple’s Yorba Linda upbringing (and current hometown), we also ensured the ceremony placement would allow for the larger-than-life mural of Nixon himself to be in the background of their key shots!
We’re obsessed with the ivory and gold color palette of their reception —which blends beautifully with Nixon’s exquisite ballroom —and can’t get enough of the lush florals and glamorous white stage and dance floor. The sea of candles helped to warm up the room with a romantic glow, while the gold-rimmed tableware managed to feel both alluring and chic at once. Our couple was the perfect blend of sophisticated, enchanting, laid-back, and FUN and their wedding celebration emulated this perfectly. Our only question? Can we always open the party with the USC Trojan Marching Band??
